I did after the flush and it looked fine. Hopefully. It's just the wire.

Well, I drove the car home. 1522 miles! She made it!

The tranny is still acting up. When I start the car I put it in D and it goes to about 4k rpm and then shifts into 3rd. From there I manuallu shift down to 2nd and up to 3rd. The car runs good. The tranny won't downshift automatically and won't go into 3rd gear. The speedometer still doesn't work after a new VSS. I guess it's off to the tranny specialist soon.

As a side-note, when I changed the fluid I noticed one of the 2 connectors under the tranny was loose. The other was tightly connected. I tried to secure it better but it is still a little loose. I wonder of that's a shift solenoid that's bad?

I totally agree. I read this post on the team camaro forum and it's the exact same issue as mine. Also, my shift solenoid was loose when I changed the fluid. 97 Z28 4L60E 4- Auto: Shift Solenoid Replacement - THANKS DNULT ! ! ! - Team Camaro Tech

I guess I'm changing the solenoid!

Time to throw my hat into the ring. Camaro seems to be giving some mild tranny aggravation and will ask my mechanic to review it soon. I just got new brakes and he'll be putting them on, so he'll have the time to also peek at the transmission. It will occasionally hesitiate upon starting from a stop light and it now sometimes has akward shifts from 2nd to 3rd, at unnatural RPM's (I will have to check RPM's next time it does it). Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be? Could it just be a sensor? I'm not a speed demon and don't abuse it, so I'm just curious.

Anyway, sounds stupid, but I'm sort of glad this stuff is happening. I was trying to sell it and it would bug the hell out of me if I sold something that ended up giving someone else some grief. I just sold my Buell and overnighted a battery, at my expense, to the guy because the Shorai battery (it was new and they allegedly never die) DIED. I lost sleep till the dude called me and said all was ok...but I digress.

Any insight would be appreciated.
