MKCoconuts Z28 Project
I forgot to mention I put some JB Weld over the bottom of the holes, but I kinda dig that websites idea much better because it vents from two different areas. Wish I would have found it when I was looking for ideas last night. For now I should be alright. I'm (hopefully) buying a truck soon for winter so I can re-modify it again during the cold weather.
The newer "vented style" opti has a vent fitting in the body and one in the cap. One is hosed to a vacuum source on the intake manifold and the other to the inlet tube before the throttle body. The idea is to draw air through the opti, not just leave it open vented. Don't hook your hose up to any vacuum source, or you'll be creating a vacuum inside the opti, which would be doing no good.
I knew there was another one on the body, but figured one vacuum source would be better than none. But in other words you're saying I should probably unhook and plug the vacuum line that I have running from the Opti cap to the air intake even though she seems to be running better? If that's the case makes me tempted to remove everything again, stick the original cap back on and return the vented one.
Suppose I'll do that till next pay unless I can figure out a way to truly vent the Opti without completely tearing everything apart again. Ugh. I had a hunch that this really seemed too easy to actually work.
Long overdue update, but this is where the Camaro currently sits for now that winter has come. It'll move to the garage once the Satellite moves to my uncles new garage.

This is what's replaced the Camaro for the winters. 97 Grand Cherokee TSi, 5.2 V8 Needs some TLC on the rockers and upper body, but the frame and floors are pristine. Oh, it's got 245k original miles.

Rockers.....what rockers?
I'm a Jeep guy as well. Your transmission and t-case have long overstayed their welcome with those miles, unless it's been replaced already.

Hehe. You can't see them, but they're invisible rockers! Haha. I have a new set sitting on the other side of the Jeep. The trans and t-case can stay as long as they want. I don't wanna them breaking until I can do a five speed swap, which won't happen until the Camaro gets some TLC. She will always be my first priority.
So with tax refund season here, I decided to spend the hard earned money on new wheels for the Camaro. However, I am torn between these two wheels from Summit and need some help deciding. I realize ultimately it is up to what I like, but I also enjoy hearing what others like. Also, if you have other suggestions, please feel free to add them.
