sounds like the fpr. to test mine i used cardboard over the return line and very carefully pinched it with vice grips. slid the protective cover up so i could get to plastic line that had not seen the sun or been weathered. once that was done i cycled the pump and the pressure good. without doing this the pressure dropped like yours. went through three fpr's before finding a good one.

Thanks Craby. I'll have to work on checking that out when the car is off the road again. The Jeep has been getting most of my attention lately.

406, I did cut a access hole above the fuel tank to get the pump out. I'll see if I have pics, but I don't remember taking any.

Honestly, I am not worried about that. I can get the nylon replacement line at work.

Been a while since I've updated this, mostly because I've been busy with other things and the cars been sitting so far. But that changed yesterday. My dad and I cleaned out the garage, moved my grandpa's tractor to the back, put the Satellite in the car port, and moved the Camaro in to be prepped for a new paint job.

I'm not dead set on a color yet, most likely a shade of red, but I've been looking at Red Jewel Tintcoat and if I can get it for a decent price, that's the color I'm gonna go with. The roof, sail panels, mirrors and below the headlights will be redone again the same and the stripes will be redone as well. This is where I finished last night:

The side molding and the antenna will be deleted as well. I will also be adding 1st Gen style Z/28 emblems on the sides and rear and either fill in the rear where it says Camaro or paint the inside of that silver.

Well the car is a long ways from the photos above. Here's some pics to show it in its current state.

Timing Chain shows a little slack, but with 125k miles, I'd think it's normal

That's where I ended tonight. Tomorrow I'll get timing cover painted and the new seals in. I'm really debating on getting a cam and the heads worked a little since everything is out and apart. But that's up in the air as the suspension needs replaced, as most is original and the paint I want to get is $215/gallon which I suppose isn't bad for red.

Haven't worked on the car the last few weeks, but spent the last two days working on it and got a lot done. Engine bay painted, front suspension removed and in process of being cleaned up. Ordered new wheel bearings, ball joints, shocks, and springs. I'm gonna order the control arm bushings and sway bar end links through energy suspension once I get the chance. Pics of progress.

Also, in case any one ever needs to know, the bearing part number that is part of the water pump shaft in the block is National 201. I had to cross it to find a replacement.
