Default Where is cat??

Okay so I'm not new to cars.... But I guess we all get fooled sometimes... So I pulled the engine/transmission/suspension, from the Camaro. The y pipe was welded directly to what I thought was the cat... Turned out it was just a piece of exhaust pipe look like it was maybe a glasspack or something. So I went back under there today trying to find the actual cat, and there is nothing. The rest of the pipe go straight back to the muffler and that's it. Am I missing something? Was the cat already deleted? Thanks

It could be possible. If you would tell us what year and motor you have, I'll look for picture in the service manual that shows a factory system to compare with.

The service manual doesn't show a complete view of the 1995 3.4L exhaust system. It does show one of the catalytic converter and it would be directly behind the "Y" pipe. Hopefully this picture will help.
