I planed on doing this but I wasnt sure If the belt was a automatic tensioner or a manual one I went out and looked for the 3/8 Inch size ratchet spot which Is what a person would use to take off the belt but I didnt find one. I am guessing Its a manual one but I havent found out how to take that off and put It on the right way with the right about of tightening. Would ya know If this Is a automatic or what. Then.

You have a spring loaded self tightening tensioner. You need to get a wrench on the center pulley bolt of the tensioner and rock it away (should be clockwise when looking straight at it) to loosen and remove the belt. Before removing the belt, pay attention to the routing, and take pictures first if you need to. Your car should also have a belt routing sticker, either under the hood or near the radiator shroud.

Default Question: is your 94 manual or automatic?

I am new here, a former owner of a 78 LT, and just bought a 94 basic V6 like yours that I pick up Saturday.

I would like to swap experiences so we can help each other figure out our car issues. I have the manual trans, what is yours? The seller disclosed a recurring problem with the car occasionally running rough when the EGR valve (emissions thing?) needs replacing. Do you have this experience?

I have 200,000 miles on mine, what is your mileage?
Thanks, it would be great to network with you and other 94 owners.
IMO, this is one of the most beautiful body styles ever.

We have a V6 section with a lot of 1993-1995 3.4 owners.
