you can rebuild them, i just haven't done one on this car. when mine crapped out i got the BBK and since it sticks I'm going to rebuild it (it was used)

 

i would assume that would be bushing for the shaft that the blades hook to. does the shaft move sideways at all

 

I looked on their site, yet didn't see any kits in the service parts section which would fit my needs. However, after looking closely at the part numbers and actual TB's I may actually have the unit which they specify is fitted for the 93 camaro yet I don't think there would be a difference. Part numbers are '94 (112-508) and '93 (112-504) I don't notice much of a difference and think they should be and would be the same.

Any info on where to get a kit with these parts to refurbish the TB other than Holley?

 

I'll try to explain this better.

I will rev it up by hand and let it close back and settle. When I do this it catches somewhere and the rpm's are high so I push the arm back with my hand and all is fine. The only "play" I get is in the section which has the throttle cable linkage and also that arm in which the throttle cable slides into and connects, if you know what I'm referring to. I can literally hold down the linkage (the part which has the spring behind it and also the section which contacts the stop screw) and then grab the arm (the part which the cable slides through and connects to) and wiggle them separately, assuming that shouldn't be loose like that, it's not much of a movement but enough. I have never really tried to see if their is lateral movement by grabbing the linkage and such and pulling it to the side...does what I said make sense?

 

Take a look at the slots on the throttle blade screws and see if it looks like they've been tampered with at all.
Perhaps a previous owner messed with with it for some reason, and didn't get the blade settled back in place quite right.

 

for a manual trans they are the same.

 

right up and down movement. if you move it up or down will it return right. sorry for the confusion.

 

Ok, I'll check tmrw for the left to right movement in the shaft...and also check the screws and stuff.
