stall.. in an automatic
Im guessing since my car doesnt have a MAF sensor from what I was told, that its probably the TPS sensor.
Anyhow, I have an automatic, 3.4l. Every now and again, when I try to go from a dead stop, it almost seems like the throttle plate closes on me and stalls her out. It only happens at the luckiest of times too. Usually when I go to leave at a gas station. I literally feather the gas to leave slowly. It almost seems like if i dont skip the first 1/4" of throttle, she will stall. I dont press down that little consistently anywhere else which is why I think it only does it there. But if you hold the gas literally just the tiniest bit down, it sounds like the air is getting cut off, she gets quieter and stalls out. All in about 1/2 - 1 second in time.
Any ideas?

I split the price on one with my Dad to share when needed -- they're not that bad on eBay - this is the one I have (used to have a '95 3.4L):

A bad throttle position sensor is a good possibility. In a carbureted world, it would likely be a bad accelerator pump causing what you have. But your car has a TPS to tell the computer how to meter the air/fuel supply in relation to your right foot position. You can test the TPS with a simple test meter. Try google or youtube for a procedure.
