You would not have to spend anywhere near 600 bucks on a new optispark and plugs if you don't want too. You can get plugs for less than 100 bucks easy and you can find an optispark for as cheap as 140 with a lifetime warranty from the site sponsor. Craby can give you more information on that, though.

Yes, please do, who is the sponsor? Do I need to disable an adblock program?

That would be great, I figured about 6$ x 8 plugs =50$ then the optispark that listed at MSD. $557.00 MSD Ignition Pro-Billet LT-1 Distributor '94-96 Late Model

YIKES!!!

If I did get the MSD, is that all I would need? When I went on MSD, and typed in my car, it listed 5 Items, the coil, the optispark, plug wires, a harness, and the ignition.

Application Guide

Chandler Motor Sports is the site sponsor. The first website is their website and the second is the listing for the opti for your car. Craby told me that the people he knows who bought these have had no problems with them. As far as what you would need, all I know of is the optispark cap and rotor. All of which Chandler Motor Sports sells. I believe the one I put here has all of them.

Thanks. I didnt know that you needed a cap and rotor for an optispark system. Forgive my ignorance, I have some familliarity with cars, I've tinkered with them for years, but Im not a technically educated mechanic. This is a new beast to me. There are some things I can do. Last week, I swapped an engine and trans in the Festiva, but Im still pretty green with the Z.

Most people sell them as a set so you never really notice.

Here's what I'm thinking, let me know if Im on the right track here.
If the fuel pressure is low, change the fuel pump.
If the fuel pressure is good, then its the injectors or the optispark.

Which should I check first, and how do I check it, or am I getting the cart in front of the horse?

you can do just a cap and rotor but its almost as much as doing the whole opti and if its the opti then you gota buy it anyways and tear it all apart again. lol,,, it is easier the second time round, still a pita.

If I buy this opti, then does it come with a cap and rotor as a kit, or do I need to get them seperate?
