Question Rear wheel bearing noise

I have a 2001 SS 6 speed. I'm hearing noise, Like wheel bearing noise from the right rear. I have only 36,000 miles on the car and I can't believe it could be a bad wheel bearing, but it sure sounds like it. I seem to hear it more on long left turns at 30 mph. I know it's not cheap to replace them and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this ( Grinding sound) from that area. Thanks Barb.

how do the brake rotors and pads look like in the back. only other thing i can think of that could make a noise like that. axle bearing is not that costly if you do the work, pull the axle and take to machine shop and have new bearing pressed on. dont forget to use a new seal.

Thanks! I'll have the brakes and rotor checked out. I thought new bearings would be like 3to4 hundred dollars to replace. Thanks again Barb.

It might cost that much if you take it to a repair shop. But like Craby said, if you do the work yourself, you should be done for well under $100.
