You'll probably have to stroke it to get to the 450 RWHP mark. If you mean 450 crank HP you can get around there with a 350. There's a local shop around me that knows what they're doing, they work specifically with late model chevy motors and with their stage 3 LT1 kit you typically net about 400 RWHP with bolt ons, new injectors, 58mm TB and a dyno tune. Now, I'm not sure if that HP is corrected for altitude since I live in Denver, I'm assuming it is, but if it's not then you should be able to hit 450 if you're at sea level. I need to call and talk to Pete (the owner of the shop) to find out all the details, but that's why I'm planning on this summer!

Needless to say you can get around 380-400 RWHP with bolt-ons and a new top end, you can go and see 95Z281LE's numbers in the LT1 section, he lists his mods too.
im assuming ur forgetting about heads and cam.....

I said a new top end with all those peripherals, the Stage 3 LT1 kit is the heads and cam and all those goodies, but yes, you have to have heads and cam to make that kind of power, sorry if that was a little misleading.

Oh no, much faster than that (if you can get the car to hook up[:@]). With my current setup(the mods you see listed in the sig) I ran a 14.7 at 5280 ft, using NHRA altitude correction figures I ran a 13.8, and that's with a pretty bad 60' time (2.2 if I recall). With new heads and cam and the whole works so you're putting down 400 RWHP you should be rocketing into the 12's or maybe high 11's area if you can get a good launch.

After I do the bolt-ons and the heads and cam... im thinking of getting the STS Turbo-back system with an upgraded fuel system such as an MSD Booost Pump and 42 pound injectors... I should have great power after all that huh?

You would, but a forced induction build gets pretty expensive. If you want to do it right you're going to have to build it that way from the start. The LT1 has a 10.5:1 compression ratio stock, which is much too high to run a good forced induction setup, you want between 8 and 8.5:1. You also want a cam that is made for forced induction builds to get the maximum power out of them. You'll also want to run all forged internals. Needless to say, if you want to do forced induction you should buy the car and start saving your pennies because you're going to have to tear down and rebuild the whole motor from the ground up if you want to do it right.

Well STS claims that you dont need all the "usuals" for their turbo system, like tis a complete bolt on system so im not sure exactly how it works but yeah Im not sure if a normal turbo setup would be better than the Turbo-Back sysem

So I figured that with this list:

Intake
Exhaust
Headers
Cam
Heads
Timing Set
Lifters
Turbo-Back system
Boost msd fuel pump
42 pound injectors
Tuned ECU

for 7500 bucks... whichI was willing to spend 7-8 thousand on the motor alone

I dont think you could ever do all that for $7500- Forced Induction will be far too expensive, and as we have said you could easily hit the mid 12's with a good N/A build.

well these are just parts im not adding in labor, which will be cheap cuz of the guys I know with the mechanic shop....

The turbo system alone is 3,895 dollars which is included in that 7500 price
