Ok so here is my first project car!

is there anything else i can do for the car to try to get it running before spending 2k? At that price I can part this one and basically get a newer fourth gen =/ Plus, I don 't have the money for that.

Ok so I am resurrecting my car's thread and giving a few updates on it and putting a few more questions here. So you guys may recall my cars problem with starting, well I finally got a video of it and here it is,
YouTube - Camaro Start up issue
Also, heres
As you see the car won't start, then fires right up. Also I have a few questions about some stuff in the engine bay. So Here are the pics and questions.
My question is what hose is this for? its like metal going from the air intake elbow to the engine. And the next picture is the hose connection to the engine
I guess my next question is should there be a hose clamp on that? and It seems that connector is in bad shape. Im not sure how to replace it either.

No you don't need a hose clamp for that. If you wanted to put a hose clamp on it, you could, and it wouldn't hurt anything.
***EDIT*** I think it's a vacuum line of some sort but I'm not sure. My car runs the same with or without it on. As far as the starting problem, I'm not sure where to start. Could be the starter, battery, coils, plugs, wires, fuel delivery, ignition, etc...

Well plugs, wires, fuel filter, and injectors have all been worked up in the last 50 miles. I am thinking i should start by checking the cars starter. Im going to google how to go about doing that.

lol thanks man. Just something I threw together real quick. Was tired of not having one. I've had one on practically every forum I've been on.. heres my favorite from a gaming forum, had a good friend make it
But thinking about the battery, all the electronics work, and it starts with lights on I do believe. However, I usually let the fuel pump prime before starting, i didn't in the video, but even primed it doesn't always start right up.
I take that back. I read the battery can have a low voltage if you turn your headlights on, start the car, and they dim. ANd what do you know, they dimmed. So it very well may be the battery.
