the upper ball joints last way longer than the lower. have you looked at the tie rod ends? very common for them to wear out. i have a used front sway bar for a 93 z28. where you at?

 

I am in michigan, but am going to maryland for the summer. But I definitely needed to replace the upper ball joints. The drivers side was shot. The upper ball joints made a difference. I am thinking that I should take a whack at the lower ball joints.

 

if they are still original then they should have wear indicators on em. that may give you a idea. Ball joints
