basically my car is a salvage car and the amp was just laying against the inner rear quarter on passengers side and isnt screwed in anywhere. it was behind the spare tire etc. And I do not see anywhere that looks like an obvious mounting point. Could you all please try explaining where / how the amp should be mounted etc or an alternative.

Pictures would be a BIG PLUS at this stage. Thanks

i figured it out on my own then.

 

Don't know if you fixed it but I have a 1998 and it fits back where the spare tires goes and is held on with 2 bolts and is mounted on a black plastic plate, unscrew the two screws, pull it out, plug it back in put the screws back in and you're done it is pretty simple.
