Default Need answers on my brakes!

About every time while im coming to a stop, my car doesnt smoothly stop. Its kinda like a jerk. Im thinking that my rotors are warped or in the process of becoming warped. Anyone got any ideas on what it might be?

More than likely your rotors are warped (their either warped or not, there's no such thing as " In the process of becoming warped") Anyways try replacing your pads and either replacing your rotors or having them turned. 4th gens are notorious for brake shimmy due to bad rotors.

My dad told me I can take the rotors somewhere to get them shaved so they'll be even. Would that be a smart and cash efficient thing to do?

Turned is the correct way of saying shaved. Most tire/alighnment shops can turn rotors for about 10 bucks each, given that they are still thick enough to be turned without exceding the min. thickness spec. Or you can buy new rotors for around $50 each for stock replacements and $75-$200 each for aftermarket performance units. IMO I would go with replacement rotors as turned ones are quicker to warp. Either way you'll be way better off than you are now, it mostly depends on your budget
