Default Need some answers

Well, to start off, I am new here and looking to hopefully buy a 1988-1992 Camaro. I don't really know anything about these cars except I want a V-8(305 or 350?) and a 5-speed. I want one that is in great running condition but doesn't have to be perfect on the outside because I am looking for a car to learn to do body work and paint on.

But now the real question. How much would a car like the one above sell for? I have a neat idea in my head of what I want it to look like, but I don't want to end up buying a car that is to nice to repaint. Thanks for anything.

alot of third gen camaros are not high priced for 2 reasons one the are too old to be worth alot and two they are too new to be collectors so you can find a decent one for a few grand that is really nice

$3500 could get you a nice clean one. But just look on craigslist I see tons of them all the time in my area that people just dont want to mess with anymore or there kids blew them up and just wants them out of there yard. Not to long ago is seen a guy selling a 91 camaro with tpi 350 and a t-56 tranny conversion it was black with black interior very nice $3200 running. But if your like me and money dont grow on trees, you can find a running camaro that just needs alittle body work and interior id say about $800-$1800. But remember you get what you pay for.

the 350 doesnt come with a five speed the trans was real weak but it did come in the 305. if ur lookin to make some hp than ud be better off buying an auto. you can find tons of third gens in great running condition that just need some body work n paint for under 3500.

unless it's a T56 conversion as stated in post #3. They are plenty strong.
