Default Looking for answers with VIN

I just purchased a 67 and I was wondering if there is a site I can go to and input the VIN to find out more about the car like original color, motor, tranny, and stuff like that.

I talked to my local GM dealer I do alot of business and he told me they can look that far back.

Thanks Danny

The VIN will only tell if it's a 6 cyl or 8 cyl car.
The trim tag however, will tell more: http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...ecode-1967.asp

I'm looking at a car right now in CA where the VIN tag was stolen off the car, but the guy has all the paperwork on the car. Anyone know how I can get the VIN tag replaced on a 67 camaro?
