Muffler Suggestion for 95 Z28
Ok since my 94 Z28 was wrecked I had to find another one and I recently acquired a 95 Z28 with 72k original miles! It's a thing of beauty for sure however it needs a better sound, it's too quiet. Any suggestions for mufflers to give that low rumble??

most guys do pacesetter long tube headers with cat back ,if your state has the 96 an older E control exsempt ,like it is hear in NH ,then you can go with true duals ,you can go with just new tips will give some rumble magnaflow 24X4 I did with mine ,just headers an tips if you do the work about 180.00 for painted headers ,an 140.00 for the tips are life time replacement ,I just seen a sweet 96 like my purple one with 72.000 was 3200.00,was a better deal then I got for mine

best to pick up a cat back system. from the catylitic converter back. do a search and you will find all kinds of videos of exhaust. dont sound the same as real thing but does give you and idea of how the different ones sound. really like the corsa setup i have but it is quite spendy.

My LT1 has the flowmaster on it. It has the classic V8 rumble at lower RPMs. I have not had it out on the highway. My 3800/Flowmaster droned pretty bad on the highway, but both cars have headers. I have been thinking about the loudmouth II Cat back for my LS1. I think it is a little less obnoxious then the original loudmount. Hard to beat $400 for a stainless system at your door.
To convert Loudmouth to LT1 you need a kit. Check the text in the ebay add.

I've got a hooker aero muffler on mine and I couldn't be happier, it sounds soooo badass!! I've also got long tube headers, high flow cats and exhaust though. Out of all the ones I looked at when decided it came down to either borla or the hooker aero. I went with the hooker and I haven't looked back. I still don't have a decent video though. I'll try and get my wife to record me going down the road or something.

These I heard and read are decent headers and decently priced. I wish that I would have put them on my car. I put Pacesetter headers on my '95 Z, but I they are kind of trash.
Duals are rather difficult and pricey for our cars. Not worth the effort in my opinion unless you want to put more money into the car than it is worth. I personally just did long tube headers and a decent cat-back exhaust on my car.

I went with Kooks because I didn't plan on selling my car. I've got the long tube headers and y-pipe. The only part that's still stock is the mid pipe. I love mine today as much as I did when I put them on. It's still my daily too. I even had to replace the head gaskets last year but the beat still roars! If you love your car like I do and plan on keeping it, save up and get the good stuff.
