you run a bigger risk of blowing up the motor in a stick

i agree sticks are more fun to drive

i guarantee an automatic will have more consistent times

if you're just trying to show off around town, then go with a stick

I agree with Failed Devices!, Chaotic94 and everyone who prefers manual !!
Of course, that is my preference in any vehicle too. Not as fast as an Auto in some situations, but more fun in all, to me. Wish i had one in the Z28.

I prefer the stick than an auto. Simply because I like being able to drive normally and save gas. but yet I get road rage and I like the fact that i can just tear though my gears and watch the rmps go up (I Drive by sound) but yeah I def think stick is more fun.

Ok thx guys i'll see if i can get a stick or a manual I actualy think that the best thing is to look @ the price and the milage and overall value of a car and worry about the trans later.

A manual lets you have better control of the power of the engine.

Automatics have the advantage:

- bracket racing
- larger, more powerful engines in drag racing
- in traffic jams
- casual driving

Manuals have the advantage:

- autocrossing
- road course/ race track days/high performance driving schools
- smaller engines
- fun factor

There will always be the guy who is the exception to these statements above, but generally, they work out for most people.

Decide what you want out of your car, then go after it.
