Default ls1 egr delete question

was wondering if i buy a kit with the plates and rip out my egr will i have to tune or do anything to the computer to drive it? i have a x pipe so my check engine light is on cuz of missing 02 sensors an i havent tuned the car yet was wondering can i just delete and deal with the lights ? or do i need to delete the codes? i want to delete because one of the egr hoses that gooes in my header is leaking slightly and just want it gone.

the codes will not do anything to the performance of your engine. IF you want to live without the yellow light then yes: you will need to get a tuner to turn off the light. other than that it does nothing.

i tell u what tho, when I did mine I just went to home depot and bought a sheet of 1/8th thick aluminum. cut out a peice a little bigger for each plate, and used the old gasket as a template. then i just took it to a grinder and made my new gaskets. cost me about 5 bucks at the end. if you dont have a grinder then just go with the kit, those arent to expensive either.

btw, how is the sale going? and nice time.
