Going to a huge cam will get old fast. Most guys that build LSX street cars shoot for the milder cams that give them a good balance of torque and HP. Going big will kill your low end power band and will take some of the fun out of every day driving.

I am soon to be in the market for a new head & cam set-up. The ported heads & quite mild cam I am running now are not too bad. I want to do a combination with good mid range & top end in mind that will get along best with my 3200 stall & 3.73's.

It's all dependant on your application and your heads Maudy.

Turbo guys will have a cam that heavily favors the intake side and have a 114+ LSA normally.

Nitrous cams heavily favor split duration/lift favoring the exhaust side to relieve the extra pressure(nitrous is very violent in the way it adds power) and have a 113-115 LSA.

NA cams usually have equal or slight split duration favoring the exhaust (due to head design). It all depends on the heads. And they usually have an LSA 110-113.

And I forgot about the few and far between supercharged guys! They'd likely be running a split duration/lift favoring the exhaust as well because superchargers build massive amounts of pressure like nitrous. 114+ LSA on these too :$
