My brother had a 97 Camaro 3.8 with a Flowmaster and it reminded me of a ricer with the fart can muffler. My 97 (I ordered this car) Z/28 has a Borla cat back system and sounds awesome. My oldest son and I both have full size Chevy 4X4's with 5.7 (350 engines) and we have a single 3" exhaust with a Flowmaster and no cat. They sound pretty good. They would sound a ton better with headers and duals with the FM but I have too many other things I want to do to my truck first. I love my Borla on my Z.

Well, on a sixxer, from what I've read/seen/heard, you're never going to give it that nice V8 sound. My 3.8l Mustang sounds very good for a Sixxer when revved, I think it has stock exhaust, but still sounds muscly instead of ricey.

His factory muffler didn't sound half bad, the FM sounded terrible.

If you have a sixxer, true dual is the way to go for sure.

I've got a Flowmaster. Its too quiet for my taste. Sounds almost stock at idle.

I've always liked the SLP LoudMouth on the v8 f-body cars.
