Default Engage not working ac clutch.

I have a 1994 camaro v6. I get how to use the paperclip trick to make the ac clutch engage and i have enough freon so im not sure why it wont. But I saw a video on youtube of a guy who has the same car and he said not to do the paperclip if the plug has three wires. Why is that.

I am not sure what you mean by paper clip trick but your compressor has 2 SAFTEY switchs. One protect the compressor when the Pressure gets too low. Low pressure means the compressor will starve for fluid and since the system uses the fliud to move the oil around it will be starved for oil. The second saftey switch protects the compresser if the pressures get too high. High pressures will blow out the reed valve or just wipe the internal drive system. I would suggest firguring out what is wrong and not by passing anything with a paper clip.

He's talking about jumping the low pressure switch using a paper clip to get the compresor to run.

Agreed 100%. I did it one time just to make sure the clutch worked on a car I bought once that had non functioning ac. Troubleshooting purposes only.
