Question Convertible issue

I bought a 1996 z-28 convertible. the top will not go up or down and the guy told me it was a fuse or relay. I have never owned a convertible so I don't have a clue where these are even located. I have pulled the covers on the fuses and relay boxes but they said nothing about the top. Does anyone know where this is? Is there any way to unhook the motor and do the top manually?

Your top is hydralic. It is a closed system. You will have disconnect and drain the fluid. It still will not be easy unless you leave the lines open. If you do that you will allow moisture into the system. If you leve it open very long you will damage the seals and that will make it very costly to repair it in the future. Your best bet is to get a manual and fix the top. Most likley it will need a new motor.

There's a valve in the driver's rear corner of the trunk. Turn it, and you CAN move the top. It'll be hard to push, though, and not recommended to do it this way regularly.
