Default Can Z28 fit with RS tranny?

I have a silly question. I don't know if I can do this but I was thinking about putting a Z28 engine into my RS and wanted to know if I can do that and still keep the RS tranny or am I going to have to replace the tranny as well?

Read the Sticky in the V6 section. It will tell you all about swaping motor. If its a 95 then no you can not use the tranny.

Simple answer, the v6 trans (from a 3.4 or 3.8) doesn't bolt up to the v8 engine.
1996 was the first year for the 4th gen RS model to come out. Based on your user name, I presume you have a 95?
To avoid confusion on your end, a 95 would not be an RS.
