Well i know for a fact that cars that have certainaftermarket make dealerships atleast alil edgy because that probably means the car was driven hard and the engine replacement probably will make people wonder how the rest of the car is doing.

thats with a dealership. a dealership will offer you less for being young. if you were a minority you would probably also get some more taken off. i believe the whole point of this thread was that dealerships will screw you so, spartan, dont quote dealership tactics to me when discussing what makes the value. because a dealer will offer you less for the car that has mods, and then sell it for more than they would have otherwise BECAUSE it has mods. private party prices can go up or down depending on who you talk to but overall its not affected by minor mods.

trade is lowest, then private, then retail. that is always te way it will go. a dealership will give you bottom dollar and sell it for top, which means that they will come up with whatever reasons to accomplish both, even if the reasoning contradicts itself they dont need to worry since the buyer and trader will never be the same person.

when i had a corolla they offered me 1.6 at this one place after I had bought it for 7 a year earlier. = gay

Anyways, what motor did they replace it with?

With help from TSP, I'm pretty sure I could have bought a Forged 402 fully built for that amount....
