ok so i got the car back today. woohoo. they said i have to break it in (1500 miles)

so first off he says they "fixed" my exhaust so that it wouldnt resonate as much and to fix some loose clamps. so first thing i notice "wow its not as loud anymore..." (granted i didnt gun it at all, but on start up and cruise it wasnt)

then i got home and got under the car for a look-see

first thing i notice.. well not notice...

where the f*ck is my muffler???

then im like "ok i did not just spend $400 on a LM1 and lose the resonator

so i look around. first off the Y pipe is like right in fron of my rrear passanger wheel...
and looking around under the car i found this

right smack dab in the middle of the car





my resonator!!

so my question is (since i told them im coming back monday morning)

is that bad for the car? / is there going to be an excess of backpressure? or is that a good thing/ not a big deal?

I'm quite sure that's how the LM1 is setup for the Camaro...

Did they replace your opti, harmonic balancer and muffler bearing too?

 

no i dont think they did any think they did anything to the muffler bearing they just said they tightened some stuff up so it wouldnt resonate (which i dont get what they mean)as much my whole car feels sluggish is that bc ive been babying it or bc the new motor hasnt been broken in

 

muffler bearing...owned again. so did you get your "drag race" parts back?

 

Changing the location of that resonator is not going to have any negative effect.

 

is there even such thing as a muffler bearing? because ive never heard of it...
