abs, inop

Default abs, inop

these lights are always on and im just wondering are they supposed to be. its the abs light and another one INOP

No, they are not supposed to be. If the light is constantly on and not blinking that usually equates to a wheel speed sensor either loose or giving bad data. Try making sure the sensor is making a good connection to the wire connecting it, if everything looks good there you may have to replace the sensor or the special flexible wire that connects into it. Also check your alternator if it's charging. My abs lite came on when my alternator plug was loose.

right before my alternator died after i installed my sound system my abs inop light came on and at a complete stop my speedo said i was doing like 20mph. Then i got a new alt. and all the problems went away.

this two lights are always and on and have been since ive had the car they aren't blinking. and lately my brakes seem horrible like if im going past 55 and i have to hit the brakes the whole car shakes. the front brake pads were changed late august could i need new rotors?

The shaking is caused by warped rotors, and warped rotors will also cause the ABS to complain. Also check that the high mounted brake lite works, as a bad one will cause the ABS to complain.

Front sensors are plugged into the front wheel hubs. Rear sensors depend if the car has traction control. No traction control, sensor plugs into differential housing, With traction control sensors are located by each rear wheel (follow the wires).
