How do you think my 95 z28 6 speed would do driving down to florida from CT ?? how much mpg do you think i can get cruisin in 6th??? there is about 110,000 on the body and maybe 16,000 on the remanufactured head. I am set on going there for spring break and my car is the last resort so let me know what you guys think...

 

i got mid 20s averaging 80-90mph in my trans am going from iowa to nashville.keep it slower and you will do even better, 60ish usually gives best mpg, but nobody likes going that. i think u will be fine as long as the car is running good.

 

my best so far, was two trips to orlando speed world, almost 40miles one way for me, made three runs friday night, went back saturday night for night of fire, averaged 70mph while driving, got 25mpg.

 

You should be able to get mid to high 20's if you're not doing 90 mph the whole way. I can get around 23-24 with my A4 doing 80.

 

ive had bad luck going long distances in maros, not in the trip itself but whenever i get back theres always something screweing up..-_-

but i made it from charlotte, nc to cleveland, on basically 1 tank of gas (i refilled once at half tank)
