Running hot when AC is on
96 v6 5spd any ideas

 

Most vehicles run warmer with the AC on,even the semi I drive at work has the fan kick on far more often with the AC on.
It's quite a draw on the motor and of course if you have the AC on it's probably hot outside.
Is it overheating or just running warmer than usual?

 

Make sure your fan turns on when you turn on the a/c. Also make sure you coolant level is correct...obviously with a cold motor.
