You might want to do some research. There was some major changes in 98. The 98 would be an LS1 design while the 95 is an older LT1. This will not me a just bolt it in swap. Your computer system will need to be the 95 that system tie's into your gages and many other systems in the 98. Also things like the raditor, you cant use the V6 cause its not big enough but your 95 will not just bolt in either. If both cars are working cars then its a no brainer, sell them both and buy what you want. The only way it would be worth it is if the firebird has a blown motor and the 95 have a lot of body damage. Since you are putting a LT1 in a 98 don't expect it to be worth much when your done.

gorn, ur rite about our car situation. the firebird has a straight body and blown head gaskets and might have cracked heads, not sure yet. But we have a 95 Z28 with a complete drive train!! so thats what were workin with. so u do think it can be done puting the LT1 in the 98 firebird?? Thanks for the help

if the lt1 car is complete then go for it. everything will switch over and bolt in. the only issue i see is getting your gauges in the firebird to work. but you could over come that by swapping in the camaro dash. you will need to drop the entire sub frame and swap them, along with all the wiring, rear end and gas tank. its a easy project, just will take a little time. really it takes more time to switch over the wiring harnesses than it would to bolt in everything else.

If i were to buy a LS1 motor and trans would i still have to swap everything over?? could i just swap motor and trnas with some other minor things?? like raditor, engine wiring harness... or would i still have to do all the work that was required with the LT1??
