The 93's are not OBD1. They are GMs system, the OBD protocal was the first attemp for a standard system across all the manufactures. Like with everything else it took the goverment a few tried to get it right. Right being OBD2

1981-93 GM's own system
94 OBD1 (train wreck)
95 OBD1.5 (train wreck trying to get back on the tracks)
96 OBD2 ( Back on track)

Of course OBD1 was not called OBD1 until OBD2 came out.

I hope the aluminum drive shaft was not to just to save gas.

No it was not although it did lighten the car a little but not enough to make a difference. I also just ordered a set of taylor wires for it.

Car is really bad with miss fires when its cold. Couple revs and it gets a little better otherwise it stays bad untill it warms up. Thinking its the coils

Had a chance to change it from the 7mm wires to the 8.2 Taylor Thundervolt ones i ordered from summit. Better spark should mean better mileage.

Got the tester on it today since it was nice and 50 out. Tested at around 36-38 at idle after start up. Went to 43-45ish i think with revs. What are they suppose to be at at idle and driving?
