My car has 18" C6 corvette rims on it. I dont have any stock rims for the car. Ill take the tire and jack out though. Code scanner i used was NOT for 96 and newer it was for the GM OBD 1 computers and the car is on its list of working to scan and give codes.

ok, 94 can be a pita to find a scanner that will work on em. i don't see how the weight of the jack and tire is going to make much difference. 40 lbs,,, that weighs same as 5 gallons of gas. have you tested the fuel pressure yet?

I thought the '95s were the pain to scan, not the '94s?

What viscosity oil are you running? When was the last time trans/rear gear oil were changed? Might be able to pick up a few changing them out to synthetic if they're overdue.

I have no info on the car before 148,848 or whenever i got it. When i did the pan i put 5w 30 in it. Runs at normal oil pressure levels. Trans im not gonna mess with. Gear oil i dont know how to change and would rather someone with knowledge of the cars helps with that.

94 is obd1 but is a highbred. can not be flashed. very much different than the 93. not as hard to get scanned as a 95 but still can be a pita.

Gear oil is as simple as the engine oil. Also, 5W-30 is perfect. Back to the gear oil though. Manual will show you how but it's real simple. Jack up the rear, set on jack stands, Undo the 10 bolts on the cover, smack it with a rubber mallet so it breaks lose, wait for the oil to drain out, wipe the cover and magnet clean, put a little high tack on the rear cover to hold the gasket in place, put the gasket on, put the cover on, bolt her down and fill with 1.75 quarts of new 75W-90 fluid and you're good to go.
