it all depends if it will fit, you said something about cheaper price, a big block or long block will be more expensive than what you have now

Well If your running a 3rd gen and you go big block, you will have to modify the engine mounts upward or cut into the strut tower wall maybe even lop off the top of the struts [:'(] accroding to a few Camaro Owners/Modders that live around here. Other than that everything should be as follows for a V6 to V8 swap which is stickyed else where in the forum.

Hope that helps a little

A big block will fit right onto the small blocks rubber mounts. No need to cut anything like the strut towers and such.

The caption under this photo reads:
"A more prctical swap in this 1992 Camaro-another Chevy Raceshop creation- That features a 510-inch fuel-injection Gen-V big block! Surprisingly. this swap was fairly straight forward.

a big block will fin into mounts and all no problem, but you run into problems when you put headers on or want to work on the side of the motor. it'll be a tight squeeze
