Plug wire help
Hey all, new to the forums and already have troubles... I am replacing my 305 in my '86 Z28. It started as a tpi but someone replaced it with a Carbureted 305. That started knocking recently so I am putting the following components in.

the main question is What plug wires do you guys recommend? I called customer service and the said any would do but I am not so sure with headers. also any other advice for performance or ease of installation? This is my first time taking on a project this big.

sorry for the double post but I had another question. I am looking for a set of hood scoops that fit over the black trim on my hood (pic below) that are functional and look good. Does anyone have any suggesrtion on where to find them?
I used a set of Taylor's "409" wires on my SBC with headers. They are a bit pricey at $110/set, however you could use any aftermarket wires that offer a low "ohm/foot" rating, ideally 50 ohms/foot or less. If you run a stereo system, make sure to get wires that have RFI (radio frequency interference) suppression.
As for the hood scoop question, measure the dimensions that you want covered and then go looking at different hood scoops. Did you want metal, fiberglass, or ABS plastic? Are you looking for stick-on application, or something that requires fabrication skills to install?

Metal, fiberglass or abs are all fine, just dont want to go super expensive. A stick on would be great. The only real fab work I would like to do on the hood is cutting the holes so the scoops actually function and are not just for looks. If I need to drill holes for bolt on or riveting the is ok also. I was hoping that a company made a set of scoops that fit perfectly over the existing hood trim, but as of yet I have been unable to find it. Thanks for the suggestion of RFI suppression wires. I have a thousand watt amp and two 1200 watt subs. I am thinking of running two alternators like the one in my first post and two batteries. one for the system and one for the car functions itself.
