Default Car bogs down when accelerating..help

I have been experiencing problems with my 1986 iroc when i accelerate
-loses power
-does not want to go until pedal all the way down( still doesnt run properly)
-sometimes will kill when i try to accelerate
-hiss from carburetor whenever i give gas, that i dont believe has been there and getting checked out
-sounds terrible
I dont know whats going on and i have changed things like spark plugs and ignition coil and still hasnt resolved it and i have even cleaned the carb with sea foam.
Any ideas?

sounds like you have a vac leak around the carb causing the a/f ratio to be off

I just got a vac hose replaced not to sure about them but i would think the mechanic would have seen that or replaced that, this is a relatively new problem but goes away then comes back. i will give that a look. Thank you

That's more what I was thinking... spray some starting fluid around the base of the carb with the car running if it revs you got a leak
