The Dash air outlets do not turn off when in heat or defrost setting. I see 2 vacuum motors on the left side of the heater box. The upper one operates when set to defrost, the lower get vacuum when switching in and out of ac/vent position. I think the linkage is onto connected or the vacuum motor is defective.


Any help on how to get to the linkage without removing the complete dash.

I must add, before my son bought this car the heater core was replaced and i think they got things screwed up in doing it.
