Default 1987 Camaro LG4

can anyone tell me the pro or cons to having the LG4..... and really what determines that its LG4?

LG4 305 165/170 HP &245/250 torque (depending on models) with carb induction
Pro...good grocery getter and gas mileage. I can't think of anything else
Con....Don't even think this a performance engine because it isn't one no matter how hard you try..

It is a LG4 for the reason GM number it for identification because they did not want to call it a boat anchor.

would a 5.7 from a chvy 3/4 ton swap with the 305?

You can if you have the skills & the money. Anything is possible. But I have a question: Why do you want to change the motor???

Sry never said i wanted to. I'm just not that knowledgable about these things. Was just satisfying my curiosity.
