Default Can someone pls just point me in the right direction?!?!

The suspension in my 1983 camaro is shot to say the least, i plan on buying new springs and shocks. I have been looking everywhere and could only find springs that will lower my car. I wanna keep the stock height because it is low enough in my eyes. I also want good coils, i dont want stock replacement ones but dont wanna empty my wallet on a pair. Could anyone help me find what i'm looking for in around a $400-$500 price range. I could always spend a bit more but my car also needs a few other things.

Thanks!

eibach pro-kit, 1 inch drop. i'm sure your stock springs have sagged some so their won't be much of a difference, these can be had for under $300.

You really dont need to buy new springs unless you are going to change the ride height IMO. As far as shocks and struts; KYB makes some really nice ones. If you are looking for a nice replacement with great cornering upgradefor all around use try the GR2s, for a little more in price you can get the KYB AGX which have an adjustable setting. I have stock springs, KYB AGX shocks and struts, new endlinks with polyurethane bushings on both swingarms and also a 3 point strut tower brace. I have absolutely no body roll in a 92 305 TBI w/T-Tops.

he said his suspension was shot and his car is 25 years old, you have no idea of mileage (which I would guess is well up there), and that is a long time for an original spring. how can you say, with any certainty, that he doesn't need new springs? I have seen cars only 4 or 5 years old that needed new springs. I have a new GTO and lots of these cars have had spring problems with not even 20,000 miles on them, so him needing new springs was probably a pretty good assumption

why would he torch his factory springs? he said he didn't want to lower it, do you read the question first or just talk through your ***?, try ecklers or classic industries, summit also a very good source
