Hey everyone, been busy working. I am almost ready to install the stock rebuilt engine and i wanted to prime up the oil through the engine by hand but i'm not sure which direction to rotate it. i think it's clockwise direction looking at it from the front but not sure.

 

It is clockwised, but how do you intend to turn the engine fast enough to build up oil pressure. The proper way to pre lube, is to remove the pump drive gear and use a special shaft attached to a drill motor and spin the pump up. However, in order to do that with a LT1, the intake manifold has to come out.

 

Thanks, i will do that. Oh , the engine is not in the car yet and the intake is not bolted on, just finished painting everything. It's going in next weekend.
