No problem, looks like you have a good idea on how to go forward with your project.

Dont really have any major updates, but i figured id check in. Im getting money together to buy some parts, but right now im doing small body work stuff. Starting block sanding the doors, and ordered a lower driver rear quarter section, as mine was rusted through. I also got an air compressor now, and buying a portable car port to set up a make shift paint booth. Gonna practice with primer before i shoot the base coat, but its gonna be a month or two until the car is ready for paint anyway.

I wanted to keep the car looking mostly original, but im not really a fan of the orginal medium gray color. Decided to go with the 2012 camaro color, ashen gray metallic. Its alot darkeer and has a really nice metallic shine. Ill keep the updates coming.

Figured id post a few pics. Just did some body work on a little rust behind the driver lower door.

Before:

After:

Here is the stuff i used:

Works really well, and sands smooth. Won't bubble up or flake off like bondo would going over rust, at least it claims. Still need to do a few coats of high build, and block sand, but so far it looks good.

Just been taking care of small stuff like this lately in order to get it ready for paint.

Got some work done on the engine bay today. I originally painted it semi gloss black, but being the car is apart and i will be painting soon, i want to paint the bay the same color as the car. I got most of it sanded, and also welded up the holes in the frame from the old fuel lines. Just have to sand the filler then prime the bay.

Old fuel line bracket holes filled:
