Well i scraped away the gooey black tar and could see some light through a spot. I used black outdoor silicone and re sealed the seam. Suppose to get bad rain tomorrow so well see how she holds up. If everything is dry, the interior will start going in on Wednesday when Im off.

I went to the junkyard yesterday and got a front bumper, ground effects, and hatch off a 91 RS. The defrost on my hatch was completely deteriorated and needed to be replaced. I prefer the integrated third brake light over the outside one, so the 91 was good, plus the defroster lines were pristine. Got everything for 300 bucks.

Got the ground fx in the basement and i put the hatch on the car already.

The interior passed the leak test and i started putting it together. Turns out the water on the passenger side was coming in from the blower motor door area. It was leaking where the box is bolted to the firewall. I removed it, replaced the gasket, and everything is now dry. Got the center console and front seats in, as well as the fuse box back into position under the dash.

Is been a while on the updates, but now that its warmer out stuff is starting to get done a little faster. I got the ground fx all bolted up and Im just waiting on a passenger fender and different hood, body work wise. I m taking a trip up to PA to a few junkyards at the end of the month to grab some parts. After that, the rear is getting 4.11's and the suspension will start coming together. here is how she looks now:

I sold the 700r a while back and im putting in a t56. It going to be paired with a 383 stroker with 10.7:1 compression with aluminum heads. The pedals came out of a 4th gen SS.

So i got some little stuff done today. Installed the rear defroster and it works like a charm. Also got the driver side window adjusted and put the door panel together. Used a couple plastic seat covers i got from work as a new weather barrier, and picked up some 3m strip caulk to secure it. Just have to get a black body plug to cover up the hole in the panel from the window crank.

Aw I see. I was still under the impression you were sticking with the 700r4.
