you guys are missing the point ? what brand are you getting at discount for efi,what I was saying is the block an efi can be had for about the same discount price even if you shop ,an point was no one has to spend 3k on a desent efi system for about 3k he can get the long block an efi mabey a bit more ,so saveing about 700,00 at the dealership ,over just being a smart shopper its not that different thrifty not cheap $1600 for efi an $14950,00 for a long block 290hp 7 year 70,000 miles in my search,then there is belt assembley ,another point was guys were saying he could not have a efi system for under 3k that would handle 500tlbs ,then I found the fast one for $1600.00 to handle 650hp,then you add in cooling system ,$2300.00 pays for what?? efi an a long block ,not the other much needed things with a new engine ,couse if your getting a belt assembley an cooling system, long block an efi for that $2300.00 ,you mights well put a new engine in it ,an even with discount of $700,00 ,you may be able to use used belt asembley parts.but any new block needs a new cooling system too ,so you may think $2300.00 does it I doubt it ,? is what are you getting for $2300. all you said was efi long block,all builds cost more then we think ,I started at 3500.00 for the crate engine then 5k then 7k later ,couse I relized I need a good serpentine assembley cooling system an transmission, among many other smaller parts after mach up so even with discount I don't se you getting out of it doing it right for under 4 to 5k .what if your old trans don't like the new engine turbo 350 2800 stall 900.00 then trans cooler starter power steering new hoses ,you may find you old stuff may not work very well where are the pictures of this car ?
