knocking
wish I could bro. Do you know how many tranny swaps engin rebuilds oil changes and brake jobs I've had to do just to get him to use it for me.Stingy old fashioned man ya know. What can I say fellas I'll post pics of my build. Turns out the Vin verify that it's a true IROC/Z28.

SO its not a 84? 85 was the first model year for the iroc?
I would love to see the parts list. A new engine with a stand alone fuel injection system for $2300. I have never seen a complete stand alone efi system for much under 2k. At least not one that would support 300 hp and certainly not a GM system. What stand alond system does GM sell?

I roc was just a add on package to the Z28. You have base Z28's and the Iroc Z28 which were supposed to be more on the race side (International Race of Champions). 1985 was the first year for the Z28 iroc. 1990 was the last year for the Z28 iroc. To the best of my knowledge there is no Vin number that will tell you if a car is an iroc since it was just an option. This is not something I learned from a web site. I have been a camaro nut since 1980 when I got my first one. I remember standing in the parking lot seeing the first iroc unloaded at the dealership I worked at. I remember the first Iroc 5 speed and the first L98 350 Iroc . I was the shop lead man when the first L98 showed up. I did the new car service and test drive of it. Man that thing blew away the 305 version. First time in a long time a Camaro could hang with the Vett.

Do you have a link?
I found this but if have nothing to do with GM. and seem like it not designed for aftermaket parts like highrise intakes and aftermaket Cams.

Muncie 5 speed? No such animal. There is the T5 5 speed but it will not hold up to a real 350. T56 6 speed is the only manual GM factory trans that will hold up with overdrive. There are aftermaket 5 speeds out there but they are pricey. 700R4 built right is your most budget friendly transmission with overdrive. You currently have overdrive?
Honest I would love to upgrade my 67 to fuel injection but everything I can find is $2500+. The engine you are building sounds a lot like my motor. Building my own system seems to be the best options.
