Default Z28 Camaro Project: Videos = Loud Sound :-)

Worked this past weekend on installing MAC Headers in a 1998 Z28. It took forever, but the results are worth it. We took 2 test drives: The before drive was with the MAC headers open and the after drive was once the SLP exhaust installed.

Before: Exhaust Install (Super Loud NASCAR type sound): 1998 Z28 w/ Open Headers - Acceleration

After: 1998 Z28 - Acceleration, Exhaust Note Sound, w/ MAC Headers & SLP Exhaust.

Sounds pretty good. But, do you have noisy lifters, or is that an exhaust leak I hear up front?

Yeah it sounded better in the first clip because it was open headers then.

The second clip is once the SLP exhaust was on the car.

As for performance, haven't tracked it yet but should have about 290 at the wheels and do quarter mile in the mid 13's. Gonna track it soon to have actual numbers to report =)

Good ears. It was a cracked spark plug.

First video was loud. Open headers man. The car was so loud we could hardly carry on a conversation inside while we drove around to cure the paint on the new headers. The second video is after the exhaust was put on, so yes, it is not as loud as the first :-)
