Thanks for the link. Can you remember how thick yours were? I will call them tomorrow and order a pair if I know what size to get.

 

The ones I have were for putting a set of 4th gen Camaro wheels onto a 2000 Monte, which has a smaller bolt pattern. They are 1" thick. When I scoped out my 3rd gen Camaro to put the same wheels on, I measured the backspacing on the 3rd gen wheels at approx. 5.5" and the 4th gen's at about 7.25". 1.5" spacers would have worked. I never went so far as swapping the wheels over though. It would be best if you measure the backspacing of your current front wheels, and then the C5 wheels to get the difference to determine how thick of a spacer you need. Lay a straight edge across the rim of the wheel on the back side, and measure down to the hub mounting surface to get your backspacing measure.

Well, I measured up everything last night and it looks like I will need an adapter or spacer 2.25" thick to be safe. Since I don't believe I can get lugs that long I guess an adapter will be needed. It is a little thicker than I wanted to use but the guy I called said people are using them as thick as 4". I will let you all know how it turns out. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

PS: Can the spindles be changed to match track of the vettes or the newer camaros....just a thought.

 

You can double check a different measurement too. Set the C5 wheel in place where it will look like it clears in the back the best, as well as how it fits at the front of the fender lip. Then measure from the back hub of the wheel to the mounting surface on the car. You might not need quite as much, or it will confirm that compensating for the backspacing difference is what you need.
