Default Steering wheel hub adapter

I was trying to install my Lecarra wheel I got for my 84 into my 91 with the air bag. The stuff does not fit well. The column is bigger and the shaft is a little different. Has anyone installed a wheel on thier 90-92 Camaro that had an airbag? Did you use a billet adapter? How did you make it work?

On my 79, I didn't have an air bag. But the steering wheel adapter was larger than the actual shaft. I took the space our and it still wouldn't hold the shaft tight and it would slip when I turned the wheel to the left. I ended up using castaloy to "weld" the hub to the shaft.

Unhook your negative battery cable. At the bottom of your steering column, there is a yellow signal wire for your air bag, disconnect it. After that take off the cover. Then take off the yellow wire at the top. There are a couple bolts holding the air bag assembly on the steering wheel. Take those off and it should lift right up. Then remove the lock ring and then nut. Then use your steeringwheel puller and take the steeringwheel off. Line up your steeringwheel hub adapter with the switch for the horn. Bolt your steering wheel to the adapter and then put the retaining nut on then the new center cover.
