I do have to ask a dumb question just to get it out of the way....you did have the cable housing mounted securely to the bracket, right? I only ask because it isn't there now.

I wasn't there when he put it in so I'm sure/hoping he did lol. But i'm gonna try the oem cable and another from advanced, I read a few post saying the pioneer brand wasn't any good and see what happens.
