Default camaro, firebird, trans am what year and options are best and what cool options were available??

hopefully ive come to the right site. ive been a gm and especially a chevy guy all my life. im looking at purchasing a late 90's to 200? camaro, firebird, trans am. i know there are performance differences depending on what was ordered(baffeled exhaust pipe, ws6, larger discs, etc) did particular models come with posi?? anyway i need to know what good ones to look for and what bad ones(models or model years) to avoid. seems to me there was a lt1 or police model that could be ordered that had a bunch of go fast goodies. please help so i can make the right decision kurt

Yes some came with posi. I would stay away from anything that isnt a 69. Thats just me though. You are asking a preferance question. Camaro is destinctive enough to have a Z28. No other model has one, so they must be good, right? There are also the SS/RS models, all the way down to a V6. Any car can be made fast. Depends on you. What do you like the look of? If you want fast off the showroom floor go with a Z or SS/RS, good daily with gas milage in mind go with the V6.

Late 90 to 2002well that is a large range to cover. If you look, the best optioned cars will bea Z28 with a 350 engine. Stay with these guidelones and you can't go wrong. Other models with a 305 or V6 will not have the most desirable options in my opinion.
