Default 96 Camaro Centre Console Options

Will a centre console from a 99+ camaro fit in a 96 camaro?

Both consoles are autos.

Thanks
Steve

Thanks I'll have to look into it a bit more (making sure that the shifter and mounting holes are in the same location)

Everything is the same for the two as far as shifter position and mounting holes, only difference is how they look. It will fit and fit very easy, but as mentioned before it will leave a big gap.

Here's a write-up, pictures seem to have gone missing however:

Actually the pictures are still available here:

I was originally planning to do this on my '95, but ended up selling the car...

It might be a good spot to mount a CB Radio or a little panel for switches for a e-cutout and other things... The gap could be elegantly addressed...
