Question tpi vs carb

well my 85 z28 has in it a 383 stroker with edelbrock 650 cfm carb with edelbrock intake. i just picked up a rebuilt 700r4 for the car for 500 this also inclueds a 305 tpi with wireing harrness and computer. when i bought my z the old computer and wireing harrness was all removed by the past owner. what i was wondering would it benafit me putting the tpi system on the car or should i leave the carb on it. at the moment the motor is out of the car. i am fixing some wireing problems that have been plageing me. so the swap would be no problem.

in its stock form the TPI system can be very restrictive. in your case i would probably leave the 383 carbed. just my opinion.

since its already been setup for carb, id stick with it. i am building a 383 tpi engine, and there is $2000 set aside just for using the tpi-larger tb, injectors, computer tuning, and having it ported so the engine does die out over 5k rpm.
